Ladies and gentlemen. . .
It’s been 15 years since Budgewoi trio Short Stack declared that ’Stack Is The New Black’, and that’s a milestone worthy of a huge celebration. Luckily, the Aussie rockers are keen to bring their fans the music that started it all – embarking on a national tour where they’ll play ‘Stack Is The New Black’ in full, live.
The tour will kick off in Brisbane before heading to Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth in June 2025.
Short Stack formed in the early 2000s, and since have amassed a dizzying array of accolades including Channel V’s Oz Artist Of The Year (twice), the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Fave Aussie Band, four #1 ARIA Albums, gold and platinum-selling singles. . . And iconic hairstyles.
The 2009 debut ‘Stack Is The New Black’ was an instant hit. It boasted wall-to-wall pop-punk charmers including ‘Sway Sway Baby!’, ‘Shimmy A Go Go’ and ‘Princess’. In 2023, alongside a massive regional headline run, Short Stack released the album on vinyl for the first time ever.
The group disbanded in 2012, but reunited in 2020. This reunion led to a new studio album, 2022’s ‘Maybe There’s No Heaven’, giving the group a renewed creative lease on life. As recently as last year, the trio played show-stopping performances at Good Things Festival alongside Fall Out Boy, Limp Bizkit, Devo, I Prevail, and more.
This is a chance to take things back to where it all began – it’s DEFINITELY not just a phase!
Tickets are on sale 15 November.
