Global hitmakers and Aussie music success story Sheppard will play shows at Warner Bros Movie World on Queensland’s Gold Coast throughout the upcoming school holidays – plus, the group is set to move to Nashville in early October.
Sheppard will play as part of Movie World’s Music On Main series, set to delight fans with their electric stage presence and trademark high-energy hits, such as ‘Geronimo’ and ‘Coming Home’. They’ll feature on the daily Star Parade on Main Street alongside a host of Warner Bros favourite characters, before they take to the stage.
“We never feel more at home than we do on the stage and to be part of something so fun and magical at Warner Bros Movie World is an amazing opportunity,” Bass player Emma Sheppard says. “We can’t wait to be part of the fun, play our favourite songs in the Queensland sunshine and bring the good vibes!”
This will be one of the last opportunities to catch Sheppard before they and their partners relocate from Brisbane to Nashville in early October. It will be an exciting new chapter for the group, whose largest market continues to be the US.
“We are such proud Australians so it’s very exciting for us to represent over in Nashville, play for our fans over there, be able to spend time in both Los Angeles and New York and of course, a much shorter trip over to Europe to connect with audiences in places like the UK and Netherlands,” Amy Sheppard says. “It’s a big risk but we feel the Sheppard sound and brand have evolved enough for us to make the move and commit a few years to this. We will definitely be coming back and forth so our Australian audiences will still be seeing us!”
Sheppard’s latest dance-pop single ‘Daylight’ has been met with mass acclaim.
“‘Daylight’ is like a shot of caffeine for your ears. It's the perfect antidote for those gloomy days when you need a pick-me-up,” frontman George Sheppard says. “You can almost feel the confetti when the chorus hits. We put so much energy into this song that we're pretty sure it could power a small city. And let's be honest, who doesn't love a music video with a baby alien? It really is out of this world.”
Sheppard play daily at Warner Bros Movie World from 15 September-2 October. ‘Daylight’ is out now.
