With an all-star line-up already featuring Bliss N Eso, Last Dinosaurs and Frenzal Rhomb, not to mention a venue upgrade to Broadwater Parklands, Gold Coast event Shakafest have gone and raised the ante adding another six bands. Spring the silly string.
Leading the charge is WA surf-rock crew Good Doogs, who we described at BIGSOUND as 'sonically, they fall in step with bands like Skegss and Hockey Dad, with the larrikin aesthetic of Dune Rats'.
Canberra loud rockers Moaning Lisa are also on the bill, as are the grungy pop noodlings of IV League - who both performed, as well, at the recent BIGSOUND.
Psych rockers Sunrose, Byron Bay's latest garage rock trio Flying Machine and Gold Coast hip hop duo Emph N Treats, who'll open the main stage, round out the new musical additions.
The action will be frothin' all day thanks to Dickies, who are jumping back on their boards as the official sponsored partner of Shakafest's skate ramp for the second year running.
The half pipe will also feature showcases from professional and amateur skateboarders, which will be announced soon.
Shakafest 2018 takes place at Broadwater Parklands (Gold Coast) 24 November. Tickets are on sale now. Click here for more information.
