One of the most iconic band names of the last 50 years, with an enduring legacy of the zeitgeist into the 21st century, Sex Pistols are headed to Australia in 2025.
An ultimate bucket-list moment, the trio of Paul Cook (drummer), Steve Jones (guitarist), and Glen Matlock (bassist) will be joined by punk-rock vocalist Frank Carter (of the Rattlesnakew and formerly Gallows) will perform Sex Pistols famed 1977 album 'Never Mind The Bollocks' in full across five dates in April.A life-long fan of Sex Pistols, last year Carter joined Cook, Jones and Matlock to play three nights of fund-raising for West London's iconic Bush Hall, the quartet's ferocious passion leading to a short run of UK shows in September before they were added to Download Festival's 2025 line-up.
"Having a f...in' blast and each show feels better than the last," Carter posted last year. "In case anyone was wondering what it's like to share the stage with these three legends. . . Pure joy. . . Every single show feels special and I am having the time of my f...ing life. Thank you all for the love."
With a catalogue of hits that includes 'God Save The Queen', 'Anarchy In The UK', 'Pretty Vacant', 'Holidays In The Sun' and 'Bodies', fans in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Fremantle will get to experience the punk-rock fuelled magic of Sex Pistols live, for the for the fish time in nearly 30 years in Australia.
A maelstrom of unhinged punk attitude, while Sex Pistols initial run only last two and half glorious years between 1975-78, the momentum they generated fuelled the punk movement across the UK inspiring countless punk, post-punk and alternative rock musicians then and across the ensuring years.
