ARIA Award winner, Seth Sentry will drop his third studio 'Super Cool Tree House' next month.
The album began as YouTube project last year during lockdown with a weekly challenge. "I asked people to send me beats, some professional producers, some amateurs and every Monday I picked a new one," the Melbourne native says."Then the aim was to write and record a song that week to be released every Sunday.
"Not only was it a great way to kill time during the lockdown, but it really helped reinvigorate my love for straight-up bars. Hardly any hooks, no thought about song structure etc. just straight up raps. I f.kn loved it."
As restrictions began to ease, Seth headed back to the studio with friend and producer Nic Martin, the pair fine-tuning the songs created during the YouTube series with some tweaks and subtle additions.
Set to land 18 June, and currently in the middle of a 4-week sold-out residency at Melbourne's Evelyn Hotel, Seth has released his newest single 'Castlevania' (the only song on the album not to feature as part of the YouTube series) with an official animated video that vibes Gorillaz.
"'Castlevania' is in the true spirit of 'Super Cool Tree House'," Seth says, "just straight-up bar after bar. Referencing everything from my job at a used car dealership to Donnie Darko."
'Super Cool Tree House' is released 18 June.
