Second Turn Up! Conference For Sunshine Coast To Focus On Playing Live

Jeff Chandler (Gympie Music Muster) will speak at Turn Up!
Founder and Publisher. Based in Brisbane.
Howard started Scene Magazine in 1993. Paul Keating was Prime Minister. Whitney, Janet and Mariah all had Aussie #1s and Mark Zuckerberg was 9. He (Howard, not The Zuck) likes Star Trek and a good Oxford Comma – way too much fun at parties.

Musicians and musically-minded people, from the Sunshine Coast area and beyond, are invited to attend the second Turn Up event in less than a year.

The free conference follows the successful inaugural Turn Up event last October and will provide an opportunity to turn up, connect, network, listen and learn from respected music industry identities.

This event will focus on playing live music. Gigs, festivals, touring and media are key topics for an industry panel discussion, facilitated by Ant McKenna (Sunshine Coast Council) and featuring Bill Hauritz (Woodford Folk Festival), Jeff Chandler (Gympie Music Muster), Mark Pico (The Big Pineapple Music Festival), Kevin Borich (Artist), Brian Goodworth (The Solbar), Anthony Lustri (Alt Journal).

Breaks in the program will be provided to enable attendees to interact, network and share whilst being entertained by some of the Sunshine Coast’s world-class artists: Karen Law Duo and Dear Willow.

Registrations for the free music industry event are filling quickly, with local musicians, agents, songwriters, managers, creative entrepreneurs, producers and music students among those already registered to attend.

Thursday the 25 June, 2015, at the Nambour Civic Centre from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
