Good Charlotte frontman and The Voice judge Joel Madden won't be charged after police discovered a small quantity of cannabis in his Sydney Star casino hotel room, but the whole incident has turned fellow Voice judge Seal right off Australia.
Madden described the incident thusly: "Sunday while I was at work, a hotel employee found a small amount of marijuana in my hotel room. The police were called and responded. Sydney is my adopted home and I appreciate the way the NSW police handled the situation. They have informed me there will be no charges. I hope this didn't cause too much drama for everyone."
Well, it caused quited a bit of drama for one person: Seal. The 'Kiss From A Rose' singer has melted down on Twitter and shared his belief that the Madden incident is symptomatic of the way Australia treats its guests (and, in the case of Delta Goodrem, its goddamn national treasures).

I'm a little torn on this one — it is low for The Star and the Australian media to make a huge deal out of less than five grams of marijuana, but at the same time, it's Seal, you know? If we'd known raiding a celebrity's hotel room would be enough to get him to leave the country, we would have put him on a watch list years ago.
It's not just has-been international celebrities crying foul, however — rapper 360 has weighed into the debate as well.
That same hotel mr madden got busted with weed (lol) had 3 federal cops take me to my room and thoughtI had illegal drugs in my drawer

Will Seal really leave Australia? Or will we remain his power, his pleasure, his pain? More on this non-story as it unfolds.
