With an all-star classic Aussie alternative line-up, Scene & Heard Festival roars back into life this summer with a return to Newcastle; so crack out that old band shirt – you're gunna need it.
At the front of the 2021 Scene & Heard train will be perennial festival favourites Grinspoon, bringing 25 years of mighty hits to the stage like 'Chemical Heart', 'Hard Act To Follow', 'Lost Control' and 'More Than You Are'.Newcastle will also welcome Australia's chameleon of genres, Regurgitator, a band with nine studio albums to their name and just as many classic joints including 'Polyester Girl', '! (The Song Formerly Known As)', and 'Black Bugs'.
In a rare performance, Sydney's '80s-'90s guitar-driven indie rockers Ratcat will emerge to tread the floorboards once more as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of their phenomenal album 'Blind Love'.
If you're searching for punchy punk-rock anthems, Frenzal Rhomb will be on hand to dish out their melodic belters like 'Punch In The Face', 'Nothing's Wrong' and 'Mum Changed The Locks'.
Turning it up a notch or three will be heavy prog-rock specialists Cog bringing the fury with hits from their two classic albums 'The New Normal' and 'Sharing Space'; but don't sleep on 2018 singles 'Altered States' and 'Drawn Together'.
Early noughties power pop-rockers Killing Heidi, '90s champions of indie rock goodness Custard (whose 2020 studio album 'Respect All Lifeforms' is an absolute ripper) and mid '90s alternative electro outfit Caligula round out the line-up.
Pre-sale tickets on sale 1 December. General tickets on sale from 3 December.
Scene & Heard Festival takes place at Wickham Park (Newcastle) 21 February, 2021.
