After a move to autumn dates in 2021 to accommodate that fickle party pooper COVID, organisers of Wollongong's two-day party Yours & Owls Festival will again return to an April event in 2022.
To take place 2-3 April (with a line-up to be announced in the coming weeks), Yours & Owls will feature a larger site (again returning to their spiritual home by the sea, Stuart Park), which means more people can attend. Win-win!A note from Yours & Owls:
'Firstly we want to thank all of you for sticking with us through the trash and treasure of these past two years; it has been a time!
'Now that we have had time to rest, recover and take stock of what it took to execute a festival in the middle of a pandemic, we are seeing just how freaking crazy it was to think we could pull that off!
'But thanks to you guys, your belief and your unbridled support for us, we did it! We made history dancing through two days and two nights, un-penned, in the middle of a bloody pandemic!
'So, what's next, you ask? Yours and Owls 2022 edition will be bigger (larger site and more people), better and back at our spiritual home by the sea, Stuart Park, Wollongong.
'We kinda fell in love with those autumnal April feels this year, so we are going to revisit them in 2022, with a new date of April 2 & 3! Ain't nothin' like a #GongChristmas two weeks before Easter!
'The line-up is locked and will be dropping in the coming weeks.
'We will, of course, be in constant contact with the relevant overlords every step of the way to make sure we deliver you one of the best events to date in the safest way possible.
'Looking into our glass ball for April 2022, we see nothing but a clean run back to the glory days of Yours and Owls as you know it and love it!
