With an all-Australian line-up set to drop on Thursday morning (stay tuned for that), Australia's very own 'heavy music Xmas' UNIFY Gathering will return in 2022.
Once again set to take over the sprawling pastures of Tarwin Meadows in the magical fields of Tarwin Lower, South Gippsland, the 2022 edition (20-23 January) will be restricted to a strict capacity of 7,000 revellers (which is fewer tickets than previous incarnations of UNIFY).Given the ongoing spectre of COVID, festival organisers have already pencilled in a back-up weekend (10-13 March) in case the original dates can't proceed as planned.
'We've all missed our annual pilgrimage to UNIFY and have no doubt that its return is going to be one momentous gathering for the Australian heavy music community,' the festival stated.
'We can't wait to be back onsite with you, surrounded by native Australian bush, stunning hills and the ocean just a stone's throw away. UNIFY really is heavy music heaven.'
Tickets go on sale at 12pm EST Thursday 19 August. More information.
