Australian singer-songwriter Sarah Blasko will embark on a 25-date, mostly regional, tour in early 2025.
About to complete a metropolitan tour (Adelaide tonight, Fremantle tomorrow), Blasko, who recently released her stunning seventh solo album 'I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain', will be on the road from February to April.The run of shows will criss-cross New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania with notable visits to Canberra, Northern Rivers, Gold Coast, Frankston, Cairns, Ballarat, Newcastle and Hobart alongside a stack of country towns.
"END OF YEAR SURPRISE! This very enjoyable tour I'm on will take in some new colours and continue on into the new year to see some more cities and some regional areas too," Sarah says.
After debuting at #6 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart, Sarah's newest studio project traces the inevitability of painful goodbyes in all their forms and the final acceptance that follows a period of grief. It was recorded at Rancom Street Studios in Sydney with engineer Brent Clark, produced by Sarah and mixed by Kenny Gilmore (Weyes Blood, Julia Holter, Ariel Pink).
It also marks a new approach to writing and recording: "This album was probably the most relaxed and free feeling record I've made. . . I honestly wasn't sure if it would make it out into the big wide world at all, but here it is, I'm so proud."
A three-time ARIA Award winner, who has won the J Award for Australian Album Of The Year as well as being three-times shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize, Sarah enjoyed a resurgence when her 2004 cover of Cold Chisel's 'Flame Tree' featured on Netflix's 'Heartbreak High' earlier this year.
