More than a decade on from the release of her third studio album, 'As Day Follows Night' (that produced the hits 'All I Want' and 'We Won't Run'), Sarah Blasko will commemorate the record with a trio of east-coast shows next year.
Although released in 2009, the COVID restrictions have not allowed Sarah to plan a special anniversary show like she had intended after releasing a 10th anniversary deluxe repackage of 'As Day Follows Night' in 2019.
"Very excited to finally announce some special anniversary shows because this record means so much to me," Sarah says.
"We started planning them in 2019, but for reasons painfully obvious to us all we didn't have the chance to make them work until now.
"I am so looking forward to celebrating 'As Day Follows Night' with you."
Sarah will perform the album in full at some of Australia's most iconic theatres: Sydney's State Theatre; Brisbane's The Tivoli; and Melbourne Recital Centre.
Recorded across five days in Sweden with producer Bjorn Yttling, (Peter, Bjorn & John), 'As Day Follows Night' won the 2009 J-Award for Australian Album Of The Year, and also took out the 2009 ARIA Award for Female Artist Of The Year.
The album was also listed at #19 in the book '100 Best Australian Albums', the highest placed record by a female artist.
"[Bjorn] took my vision and helped make it into a reality but took it in directions I never imagined it could go – particularly rhythmically," Sarah adds.Tickets on sale.
