Swedish power metallers, Sabaton return to Australia in 2025 and they're bringing their fellow Swedes, Amaranthe.
With guitarist Thobbe Englund rejoining the band last year after an eight-year hiatus, the rest of Sabaton – Joakim Brodén (vocals), Pär Sundström (bass), Chris Rörland (guitar), and Hannes, Van Dahl (drums) – and Englund will headline concerts in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in September."AUSTRALIA ARE YOU READY?! We're heading down under this September with Amaranthe for a five-city tour. 🤯 It's going to be one hell of an experience!"
Last week Sabaton released their new single 'Templars', the first release from their forthcoming 11th studio album. "'Templars' is the first song we wrote for our forthcoming album and it truly brings out the theatrical side of Sabaton," Sundström says.
"From the moment we started working on it, we were overflowing with ideas on how to bring it to life onstage. We didn't just want to play it – we wanted to show it!"
The strikingly cinematic video was filmed at two massive historical fortresses in Serbia, as band members take on the roles of the last remaining Templars – sworn to protect the secrets of their order.
"The cherry on the cake is we'll be joined by special guests, Amaranthe, so it's going to be one hell of an experience," adds Sundström promoting the Aussie dates. "We couldn't be more excited to finally be returning to this part of the world and we plan on making it unforgettable.
"Every time we land, the people are always so welcoming, and we always leave with great stories to tell. Get ready because this tour is going to be an unforgettable ride."
