Legendary news anchor — and viral marketing god — Ron Burgundy has teamed with Robin Thicke for a cover of Christopher Cross' 'Ride Like The Wind'.
You couldn't exactly call it a duet — Burgundy's contributions are largely limited to throwaway asides (when Thicke sings, "I was born the son of a lawless man", Burgundy responds, "You mean Alan Thicke?") — but hey, at least it's not as 'rapey' as Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' has been accused of being.
"That's right, folks," Burgundy says during the bridge. "When Ron Burgundy rides, he rides like the wind — not like a Subaru or a golf cart, like the God darn wind, powerful and sleek and invisible. Feel that draft up your skirt, ladies? That's me. Okay, that was creepy, I'm sorry."
Okay, so maybe it's a little rapey.
'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' opens on December 19; our massive Anchorman comp closes tomorrow.
