Who says festivals are dead? Definitely not the crew behind Rolling Sets Festival, the Central Coast event back in 2025 with a monster Aussie line-up and news of expansion.
Originally launching in 2020 at Coffs Harbour, before locking in Central Coast at its home in 2022, every Rolling Sets Festival has sold out, bucking the trend of the festival wasteland of recent years.
The beachfront festival will bolt down at a second coastal location with Tweed Heads locked in for 29 November at the postcard perfection that is Duranbah Beach, with the Central Coast party to unfurl on 6 December returning to Memorial Park, The Entrance.
Event organisers haven't skimped on the line-up either, booking three world-class Aussie acts to headline.
Hip hop OGs Hilltop Hoods (who just released their new album) and indie darlings Spacey Jane (who also recently released a new album – read our review of their Melbourne concert in June) will perform at both events; while Aussie expats living in Berlin, the soul-funk-disco-psych lords Parcels (whose new album 'Loved' drops next month), will only play Duranbah Beach.
"The high, the energy exchange with the crowd – that's irreplaceable. That's still probably my favourite part of what I do," the Hoods' Pressure recently told us.
Parcels share their inspiration for their new song, which landed on Friday. "'Summerinlove' is a nostalgic memory and a yearning for a past love that hopefully will return.
"It was written from the post break-up period where you're in denial, hoping for the relationship to continue in the future when really it's over. The track was recorded live in Golden Retriever Studios in Sydney, Australia."
The remainder of the line-up features festival faves The Jungle Giants, punk-psych icons Skegss (Central Coast only), and rising US alt. rockers Flipturn. Rounding out the bill are one of the country's most explosive hardcore acts SPEED, alt-pop powerhouse MAY-A, as well as The Terrys, DICE, Blusher, 3%, Scowl (USA) and so many more.
With a focus on surf and skate culture alongside the live music, Rolling Sets offers major city energy with the vibes of cruisy coastal living.
The Central Coast edition this year will also feature the World's Largest Ever Paddle Out, the festival proudly partnering with Spirited Foundation, who are dedicated to empowering young people impacted by domestic violence through resilience, leadership, and community programmes. The global paddle out honours the ocean's power to inspire healing and connection.
Tickets on sale from 10am AEST on 8 August.
