Guitar virtuosos Rodrigo y Gabriela return to Australia in 2025.
The Grammy Award-winning Mexican acoustic duo, who combine elements of nuevo flamenco, rock and heavy metal in their mostly instrumental compositions, will headline concerts in Brisbane, Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra, Adelaide, and Melbourne next April."Australia – we're so excited to announce that we're coming back in April!"
Their most recent studio album was 2023's 'In Between Thoughts...A New World'; it was inspired by Rodrigo Sánchez's studies of the philosophy of nondualism as he recovered from COVID-19 in 2020, and the duo's interest in the Hindu philosophy of Advaita Vedanta.
Rodrigo y Gabriela's catalogue of hits include 'Tamacun', 'Diablo Rojo', 'Hanuman', 'Orion' , 'Vikingman' and 'Electric Soul'.
Known for their live performances that infuse intensity and musical precision to create sheer joy for audiences, Rodrigo y Gabriela have graced such stages as The White House, London's Royal Albert Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Glastonbury Festival.
