A couple of icons of music, Sir Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper are teaming up for an Australian tour in 2023 soaked in nostalgia from yesteryear.
A mix of arena shows plus a trio of a day on the green concerts, the tour will visit Perth, Melbourne, Geelong, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Hunter Valley and Bowral next March-April.A two-time inductee in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and Grammy Living Legend with more than 250 million albums sold throughout his career, Sir Rod will regale his adoring Aussie fans with a two-hour set at each concert.
With such mega hits as 'Maggie Way', 'Tonight's The Night (Gonna Be Alright)', 'Downtown Train', 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy', 'Have I Told You Lately', 'You're In My Heart', 'Young Turks', 'All For Love' and 'Forever', Stewart will also dig deep into his back catalogue to spotlight some of his lesser known numbers as well as performing new material from his latest record, last year's 'The Tears Of Hercules' (has 31st studio album).
Cyndi Lauper's career shines just as brightly, the Grammy-, Emmy-, and Tony Award-winning songwriter and artist amassing a discography that endorses her legendary status.
From winning the Grammy Award for Best New Artist with her first album, 'She's So Unusual', to becoming the first woman in history to have four #5 singles from a debut album, Lauper also became the first solo woman to win a Tony Award for Best Original Score (music and lyrics) for 'Kinky Boots' in 2013.
With an iconic voice and influential punk glamor that has inspired numerous generations (and continues to do so), Cyndi's own catalogue of music gives her legendary status.
Fans can expect to hear such Lauper classics as 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun', 'Time After Time', 'True Colors', 'I Drove All Night' and 'All Through The Night.
Aussie rocker Jon Stevens will join the tour as opening act at all concerts.
