In preparation for the big day, Rockaway have doubled their Record Store Day ordering to up their chances of getting some of those elusive pressings and special edition releases everyone is eagerly hoping to get their hands on.
It's going to be a party on the sales floor on the day with three in-store artists playing from noon, kicking off with Remy Boccalatte performing tracks from his new solo album 'Swimming Over Faultlines' and also songs from his band Spring Skier. Two other special guest artists will follow Remy and are expected to be announced shortly.
Then get ready for battle with a day of crate-digging record fair style as Rockaway Records have got some special Record Store Day-only deals to get your head spinning.
Customers can mix and match from the $9.99 or less LP & “45 range, and when you buy two you get a third for free. All placed on trestle tables outside the shop for ease of digging, there are thousands of records to choose from.
More than 200 new LPs will not only be reduced to $20, but if you buy two you can choose a third one for free, plus the first 40 customers through the door will receive a free, limited edition Record Store Day tote bag valued at $15. So make sure you're the early bird that gets that worm.
