You can never accuse Robbie Williams of doing the generic, paint by numbers version of anything he does.
After entertaining his fans and no doubt recruiting new admirers after his engrossing and delightful Netflix documentary series 'Robbie' (who will forget Robbie lounging in his jocks and not much else for large portions of it!), the 'Angels', 'Feel' and 'Rock DJ' global icon's next creative pursuit is a bizarre reimagining of the former Take That's journey to worldwide stardom as Williams voices himself... well sorta; he's Robbie, but a monkey caricature of himself.'Better Man' follows the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and remarkable resurgence of the British pop superstar seen from his perspective capturing Williams' signature wit and indomitable spirit.
"Discover an extraordinary journey that can't be told in an ordinary way. From the director of 'The Greatest Showman', Michael Gracey," Robbie says.
Adds Gracey: "Incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such remarkable talent as we bring this once-impossible dream to life."
The film also stars Jonno Davies, Steve Pemberton, Damon Herriman, Raechelle Banno, Alison Steadman, Kate Mulvaney, Frazer Hadfield, Tom Budge and Anthony Hayes.
'Better Man' screens in Australian cinemas from 26 December.
