The multi award-winning Riverboats Music Festival will present performances from a number of acts from Australia and overseas, in a new venue (Echuca’s Victoria Park Reserve) in February of 2023.
The new venue is a notable modification to the programme, and is a result of the traditional home of the festival transforming into a natural wetland as a result of the region’s recent flooding. This is a temporary relocation for Riverboats’ 11th instalment.
“Echuca-Moama has gone through an incredibly challenging period over the last few weeks, and our hearts go out to all those affected by the recent floods,” Festival Director Dave Frazer says.
“Riverboats has been part of the Echuca-Moama community for over 10 years now, and whilst we're sad to be leaving Aquatic Reserve next year, we can't wait to put on a spectacular show at Victoria Park in a few months time.”
There will also be a number of intimate sideshows playing in partnership with Murray River Paddlesteamers. Music fans will be given the opportunity to cruise down the river, to the soundtrack of Alice Skye, Felix Riebl, Andy Golledge, WILSN, Bones & Jones and Watty Thompson.
“Riverboats will once again deliver a remarkable line-up of Australian artists in 2023, with some award-winning Kiwis thrown in for good measure,” Dave Frazer continues. “To be able to present international acts of the calibre of Marlon Williams alongside homegrown legends including Spiderbait, The Whitlams and C.W. Stoneking is a truly exciting thing, and we can't wait to get back to Echuca-Moama in a few months' time.”
