American viral folk-rock band Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners will make their Australian live debut early 2025.
After their 2017 song 'Evergreen' blew-up on TikTok early 2024, the Seattle-based trio of longtime friends, Mitch Cutts, Nic Haughn and Jakob Ervin will headline concerts in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney next February, adding to their appearance at Yours & Owls Festival. "AUSTRALIA 🚨🦘 We are coming for you next year!"Originally growing up in Colorado Springs, and starting Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners as a high school passion project, the band released their debut album 'RMCM' (featuring 'Evergreen' as well as 'Lake Missoula', 'Sage' and Lucerne') in 2017.
They've produced two follow-up albums – 'Solstice' (2018) and 'Subliming' (2019) – with both exemplifying passion and dedication to create and perfect their craft.
Currently finishing up their fourth longplayer, alongside the success of 'Evergreen' in 2024, Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners have released a number of singles including 'Northstar', 'Sierra Vista' and most recently 'October Moon'.
The band also revisited 'Evergreen', recording a new version with Ohio folk trio CAAMP. "This new version of an old song is the product of a very fun and collaborative day in the studio with some new friends," Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners posted.
"We're honoured and excited that we could do this in the way that we did, and I hope that this song finds you however and wherever you need it."
Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 22 November.
