An icon of '80s-'90s pop ballads, the unmistakable vocals of singer-songwriter and producer Richard Marx returns to Australia in 2026.
The voice behind such timeless tunes like 'Right Here Waiting', 'Now And Forever' and 'Hazard', Marx will headline concerts in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle and Melbourne next April.
"I can't wait to get back to Australia," Richard says. "The audiences there have always been so warm and passionate. It's going to be an unforgettable run of shows.
"We'll be celebrating four decades of music with the songs you know and love – 'Right Here Waiting', 'Hazard', 'Endless Summer Nights' – plus brand-new songs like 'Magic Hour' and 'All I Ever Needed'. See you soon!"
Winner of 2004 Grammy Awards' Song Of The Year' (for Luther Vandross' 'Dance With My Father', which Richard co-wrote with Luther), Marx has also accrued 17 Billboard Music Awards nominations.
Richard has released 13 studio albums, the most recent being 2022's 'Songwriter' and features the track 'Same Heartbreak, Different Day'. Richard co-wrote songs for this record with his sons Lucas and Jesse, as well as Keith Urban, Darius Rucker, Burt Bacharach, Richard Page, and Chris Daughtry.
Currently appearing as a coach on 'The Voice Australia' – alongside Melanie C (Sporty Spice), Ronan Keating and Kate Miller-Heidke – last month Marx released his latest single, 'All I Ever Needed', a jazz-infused ballad featuring world-renowned trumpeter Chris Botti.
This year, Marx has also expanded his creative horizons with his podcast and YouTube series 'Stories To Tell', where he hosts candid, cocktail-fuelled conversations with friends and collaborators including Kenny G, Paul Stanley (KISS), Katie Couric, Chelsea Peretti, Rick Springfield, and more.
