Rhythm And The Reef 2024 Line-up

Now a staple of the Mackay region, the annual Rhythm And The Reef music festival returns in 2024 for its fourth, and biggest, instalment yet.

Nestled in the picturesque surrounds of Mackay's Meadowlands Amphitheatre and Botanic Gardens on 5 October, this year Rhythm And The Reef welcome Aussie hip hop OGs Bliss N Eso, the two-time ARIA Award winners with seven studio albums and an arsenal of hits ('Moments', 'Addicted', 'Tear The Roof Off' and 'Act Yo Age').

Then there's everyone's favourite surf-rock lads Skegss, currently on their So Far From Spaceman tour, who'll bring such bangers as 'L.S.D.', 'Up In The Clouds' and 'Spring Has Sprung' to Mackay.

ARIA-nominated indigenous singer-songwriter Thelma Plum will captivate the audience with her own swag of folk-rock charmers like 'Homecoming Queen', 'Better In Blak' and 'Clumsy Love'.



Beloved Australian rapper Allday ('Girl In The Sun', 'In Motion'), who is set to release his long-awaited fifth record 'The Necklace' next month, and Aussie electro OGs Sneaky Sound System ('UFO', 'Pictures') round out the main headliners.

Rhythm And The Reef will also provide a platform for a stack of local acts to strut their stuff in front of a festival audience with Giant Palms, Jonte, Pacey, The Wild Sky, Same Pains, Dosco, and Jaymouth joining the bill.

In a new initiative, Rhythm And The Reef will deliver a homeless outreach programme as part of its partnership with Aussie Mackay and Chances House to help provide food to the homeless within the region. This programme will be aimed at delivering fundraising activations during the festival to raise money to help the less fortunate in the community. In addition, any leftover food and merchandise will be donated to support those in need.

Rhythm And The Reef has also been a recipient of the 2024 Regional Arts Development Fund and will be utilising the funding to create more sustainable artworks for the festival. The regional artists that will feature works this year will include Louis Gervais, Muddy Grimes, David Day, and James Quiggin.
