Brisbane's The Triffid felt less like a venue and more like a heartbeat on the final night of VOILÀ's first Australian headline tour.
By the time the lights dropped (15 February), the room was already buzzing from a majestic, and magical opening set by Byron Bay artist, Yorke.
She set the tone with brooding build ups and vocals that clung to the rafters. From her stage presence to every lyric, Yorke was the perfect opener.
VOILÀ didn't just walk onstage, they opened what truely felt like a performance.

From a female recording pumping up the audience, to guitarist-vocalist Luke Eisner entering the stage with a lantern, before being joined by vocalist Gus Ross and drummer Jarad Kleinstein, each member looked like something out of a fantasy novel.
They opened with the songs everyone knew such as 'Drinking With Cupid' and 'Drop Dead gorgeous', the kind of songs that ricochet through a crowd before the first chorus even lands.
With matching light-up bunny ears they lit up the crowd and created an atmosphere that bound the audience together.
The set was split into four distinct acts, each one shifting the emotion throughout the night. It was chaotic. It was tender. It was deeply on-brand.

In true theatrical fashion, the band pulled a fan onto stage to draw a song title from a literal hat, a small gesture that tied into their magician brand.
At another one point, they paused to say: "These songs hurt so bad to write and they heal so much to play." You believed them. You could see it working in real time.
For the encore, they brought Yorke back out for 'After Hours', wrapping up their Australian tour together.
If this was the last time they're playing this particular set list, it went out exactly how it should have – loud, luminous, and a little bit magical.
