On a beautiful Tuesday night (15 August), Valley captured hearts in Brisbane kicking off their Australian tour at The Triffid.
Valley had many keen and eager fans ready to get into night one of the 'Lost In Translation' tour, with some fans arriving to line up at the venue's doors as early as 10am.Nothing could dampen their energy, not even a little bit of rain – and this infectious energy continued all the way through to the end of the night.
Selfish Sons started the night off with their nostalgic hit of adrenaline. Their songs were addictive, and you couldn't help but join in on the fun.
The three members owned the stage and captured hearts of many new and old fans with their music. Fresh off the back of a recent tour and teasing new music, we look forward to seeing what these boys can achieve next.

Stepping onstage with their fresh outfits from The Love Bubble Vintage Co and opening with their song 'Lost In Translation', there was no hesitation from Valley.
Vibrant red-haired Rob Laska bounced around his mic stand, guitarist Alex Dimauro and bassist Michael Brandolino danced around the stage singing with the crowd, while drummer Karah James was absolutely killing it on the kit.
The crowd instantly went wild with fans hanging over the barrier just to get closer to the energy already pouring out of the band.
Dimauro was a highlight of the show with his incredible energy and stage presence, never seeming to run out of energy. With both him and bassist Michael jumping on the keys as well as their respective instruments, an extra layer of fun was added to the show watching the two dance around while playing.

Valley continued to blow fans away when they seamlessly transitioned from their song 'Have A Good Summer Without Me' into Taylor Swift's 'You Belong With Me' with every person in the room screaming the words with the band so loud it must've been heard outside The Triffid and up the street.
Not long after their Swift surprise, drummer Karah wowed all Australians in the room with her incredibly accurate attempt at an Australian accent: "I have been waiting my whole life to do this."
The Australian experience continued for the Canadian band, with the crowd convincing lead singer Rob to do a shoey. After a brief description of what a shoey was and much to guitarist Alex's disbelief, Rob did a shoey, with cheers erupting from the crowd.

The band exited after 'Like 1999', but fans weren't done as the chants of "one more song," echoed through the venue, with the band returning to finish with their hit break-up song 'Hiccup'.
Taking a bow and relishing the much-deserved roar of cheers and applause, Valley's first show in Brisbane was a hit with every person in attendance.
First gaining traction in 2016 with their EP 'This Room Is White' that surpassed ten million streams, Valley's euphoric show was truly an experience of a lifetime. Their mutual love for their fans shined all the way through the show, with all band members taking it in turns to sing with their fans – Rob even entered the crowd at the end of the show.
