Hayley is a multimedia creative, with a passion for storytelling. She loves capturing the raw energy and emotion of live music that resonates with audiences.

With fans counting down the days since the original show's date, The Kid LAROI finally returned to Melbourne for his The First Time tour, and the energy in the arena was like no other; it was absolutely electric from the moment the lights dimmed.

The Kid LAROI began his show (29 November) by performing the main beats of his single 'Baby I'm Back' on the keyboard, under blue cinematic lighting along with some haze to give the perfect feel for his introduction back to Melbourne.

As the lights revealed The Kid Laroi's figure as he moved his way to the middle of the stage and the catwalk, the audience erupted with excitement. The stage was well lit with flames all around the stage creating the perfect atmosphere that captured the intensity of the night. The show had a distinct rocky edge to it as well as a pop element with the slower paced songs.

With a blend of stunning vocals and high-energy dancing that had the entire arena moving, The Kid LAROI didn't just perform but he owned the stage. From jumping around the stage with immaculate energy to interacting with fans in every corner, he made sure every person felt a part of the experience.

The crowd responded by singing, dancing and jumping, some even went as far as creating a circle in the middle of the moshpit, which I have never seen firsthand; it felt like its own world of chaos in the best way.

A personal favourite song of mine, 'Bleed' was performed so beautifully in the middle of the catwalk as a slower-paced version. As a fan of that song, it was so special to hear live. Another moment that was special was his tribute to his good friend Juice WRLD, who passed some years ago. The emotion in the room was irreplaceable, as The Kid LAROI performed the song he created with him 'Go'. It was a moment that not only showed his talent, but his heart.

A surprise to all was the performance of his newest single 'Aperol Spritz', a song he hadn't performed live at many shows. The crowd responded with pure joy, singing along. Melbourne is very lucky to be able to hear the song live as many cities haven't had the chance to experience hearing it live.

The final song 'Nights Like This' sent a feeling of nostalgia and raw emotion through the arena. This is a moment of a show you really appreciate because it feels like an intimate experience. The Kid LAROI's ability to connect with his audience, whether through explosive dance moves or heartfelt tributes, made the entire experience feel so special and memorable.

As the show came to a close, the audience were still full of energy. I'm excited to see where The Kid LAROI's career is headed. He definitely deserves more recognition as his talent is out of this world as well as his undeniable stage presence.
