The night kicked off with an unexpectedly charming and heartfelt performance from 17-year-old newcomer Huon, who stepped onstage with a mix of nerves, innocence, and genuine excitement.

Before even striking the first note, he captured a special moment – snapping a Polaroid of the packed crowd with his Instamatic camera, instantly winning everyone over.

Performing a set of original songs that showcased his potential, Huon proved he's an artist to keep an eye out for. His warm connection with fans continued offstage as he greeted supporters after the show, leaving a lasting impression.

Then came the main event: Midnight Til Morning, the American-Australian boyband made up of Shane Appell, Zach Newbould, Conor Smith, and Mason Watts.

Born from the Netflix series 'Building The Band', the group has managed to rise above the saturated boyband landscape by blending TV series storytelling with a platform that spotlights emerging talent.

Even though they didn't win the competition (they placed fourth), Midnight Til Morning clearly won something far more meaningful – the hearts of teenage fans, along with plenty of mums and dads who came along for the ride at Brisbane's The Princess Theatre (22 November).

The atmosphere became electric the moment they hit the stage. Performing tracks from their debut EP 'Afterglow', the band delivered a polished and emotionally charged set that showcased their harmonies, personality, and natural chemistry.

For many in the crowd, this was their very first concert experience – and they showed up hours early to secure front-row spots, clutching homemade signs and buzzing with anticipation.

The band matched that enthusiasm beat for beat, encouraging audience participation and feeding off every scream and sing-along. One of the night's standout moments came when fans repeatedly chanted for Shane to do a "shoey".

He hoped the crowd had forgotten about it by the end of the show, but they definitely hadn't. As the chants swelled again, he caved delivering the shoey to an eruption of delighted screams.

Midnight Til Morning performed like a group who had been around for years: confident, joyful, and deeply connected to their fans. With their shows selling out around the world (and their merchandise disappearing just as quickly), it's clear they're far more than a boyband created for television. They're a phenomenon in the making.

A night of firsts, fan moments, and rising stars, Brisbane won't forget this one anytime soon.
