Every once in a while, an artist comes along who truly stands out – not just for a memorable name, but for a voice and presence beyond their years.
On Friday night (24 October) in Southport, Gold Coast, Marshall Hamburger, winner of the 2025 'Australian Idol' series, delivered a performance that captivated audience members of all ages.
From the very first song, fans were on their feet. Whether it was kids, families, or the older generation, there was something for everyone. Marshall's set list ranged from Benson Boone and Michael Jackson, to classics by The Beatles, Elton John, and Glenn Frey.

Every great show should start strong, and Marshall did just that with a high-energy opener that set the tone for the night. He performed several of his standout songs from 'Australian Idol', mixed in some personal favourites, and even took a creative risk by performing a few original tracks.
One highlight was his latest release, 'Thought Of You!', which blends a nostalgic '90s boyband and Jackson 5 vibe with a fresh, contemporary edge. The song showcased not only his smooth vocals, but also his growing strength as a songwriter.
Throughout the night, Marshall demonstrated his versatility as a multi-instrumentalis – opening the show on piano with a stunning rendition of 'Higher Love', playing keyboard on several numbers, and even surprising the audience with a special performance on the melodica.

It was a night that proved why Marshall Hamburger is more than just the latest Idol winner – he's an artist destined for longevity.
