US pop star Madison Beer has brought her tour down under, playing at Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena (2 September), supported by Australia’s Kita Alexander – who was a perfect addition to open the show.
Kita is a rising star based in Brisbane; after opening this show, she's going to gain more supporters for her music as the crowd was very enthusiastic while she was performing, with many members of the audience dancing and singing along. She even encouraged the crowd to get involved by repeating after her in particular songs.Madison opened her show with instrumental beats that left the crowd excited for her entrance to the stage that segued to her first song, 'Home To Another One' – a perfect track to start the show with, as it has an exceptional dance-like beat and beautiful vocals.
Her vocals were a mesmerising blend of authenticity and beauty, a feeling of genuine emotion felt through each note. Her voice draws people into the raw essence that her music creates.

A personal favourite performance was her highly anticipated song that a lot of the audience wanted to hear live too, 'Silence Between Songs' – midway through there were seconds of silence that left the arena so quiet, followed by echoes of her vocals after delivery the lyric 'silence', which was very satisfying to be able to experience – this is known as The Silence Challenge that many artists include in their shows.
The stage was beautifully lit and corresponded with her performance in a way that wasn't too overwhelming as well as having interactive visuals at the back of the stage for the audience to enjoy before and during each song.
Madison dispersed herself over the whole stage, making sure the crowd in the stands were included in her interactions as well as the audience at the front barricade, of course.

Fan favourite 'Make You Mine' was performed towards the end of the show which, I must say, was an absolute joy listening to that live. The atmosphere was incredible, as were the instrumentals behind her vocals that weren't too distracting from her vocals; it was clear the audience was waiting for this one!
The show concluded amazingly with her song 'King Of Everything', saying goodbye in a way that made every person feel special, her vocals isolated from instrumentals like you were in a film's final scene. The most memorable moment from the final song was the confetti that filled the air in the final minutes.
