Last Friday's Lime Cordiale concert – as part of the 'Enough Of The Sweet Talk' album release cycle – was a celebration that captivated 9,000 fans at ICC Sydney, proving the duo has solidified their place in the Australian music scene.
From the moment the lights dimmed, it was clear we were in for a night filled with energy, laughter, and theatrical performances. Their alternative surf-rock style reflects universal experiences of love and relationships, interwoven with a cheeky, playful energy that proudly showcases Australian culture.Kicking off the evening (11 October) were Ball Park Music, who set the tone with their infectious indie rock sound. Their set was a well-crafted journey, moving seamlessly from strong rock beats to soulful moments that had the audience lighting the venue in iPhone sparkles.
It's clear the band have connected with their fans as the voices of thousands of people joined them. Beyond the powerful musicianship, the set was a spectacular light show, full of technicolor and unexpected strobes thay was immersive and purely stunning to watch.

As Lime Cordiale took the stage, the excitement was palpable. Brothers, Oli and Louis Leimbach, displayed a magnetic stage presence that kept everyone engaged from start to finish.
"We've played to no one before heaps of times and now we are here," Oli remarked to the 9,000 person venue. It’s a testament to their music, and its ability to connect with so many people.
What truly sets Lime Cordiale apart is not just their catchy tunes like 'Facts Of Life', 'Robbery', and 'Temper Temper' to name a few, but their theatrical flair while performing these songs.

Their performance transcended the typical concert experience, blending music with storytelling and humour. With a range of instruments – trombones, clarinets, and even a kazoo – their playful approach added an exciting dimension to their already groovy sound.
Throughout the show, the brothers engaged in cheeky sibling rivalry and brought us along for the ride. They have a natural ability to engage audiences and invite them to become active participants in the experience.
They split the audience in half to cheer for each of them, turning the concert into a light-hearted competition. This culminated in a hilariously staged Championship Boxing Match, where they re-enacted a fight scene, Oli eventually being 'knocked out'. Such commitment to performance art made the experience not just a concert, but a memorable event that drew everyone into their world.
