Kat Edwards, a local indie artist from Melbourne, supported Griff during her show at Northcote Theatre last Saturday (17 August).
Kat stepped onstage and provided the audience with the perfect opening to the show, getting every single person excited for Griff's set. Many in the crowd interacted personally with Kat as she was performing to make her feel as welcome as possible. I look forward to seeing her succeed in the future with her career, as she is a very talented individual.

With high energy, Griff took the stage with one determination – to give the most incredible experience to Melbourne's crowd as possible, and she did just that!
Her show began with her hit single 'Vertigo', from her new album of the same title, the crowd super pumped and ready, full of joy and excitement, singing the song word for word as she was performing. 'Vertigo' was a great choice to kick off the show, as it's an upbeat song to get everybody moving.
Many moments stood out to me, especially the crowd chants like during the song 'One Night'; after the lyrics 'one night', the audience repeated the words back to Griff. This happened with many songs throughout the night including 'Miss Me Too', which made it a very inclusive show to be at.

Another moment Griff shared with fans at the barricade was at the beginning of the show, making everybody in her sight feel special and included.
Griff's single 'So Fast' was another very memorable moment from the show, where she moved herself to the middle of the crowd on a small stage with just her guitar to perform an intimate acoustic section of the show.
Her voice was much clearer while performing her acoustic set of the show, and other moments where she used the piano along with her isolated vocals. Her voice is so angelic and soft, hearing her sing acoustically felt as though she was singing directly to me.

The sold-out Melbourne crowd really showed up to have the most amazing night with Griff's incredible stage presence and talent. It's clear she'll be back here very soon, likely to perform in a much bigger venue as her fan base continues to grow by the minute.
