I'm Keali and I live in Brisbane. I love anything cats, country or metal, and I love a good moshpit. When I'm not behind the camera or writing, I am probably at band practice or reading with my cat and a cup of tea.

After a lengthy but undoubtedly worthwhile wait, Blink-182 packed a punch with an electrifying performance at Brisbane Entertainment Centre last night.

Old and new fans eagerly dusted off their merch and donned their best costumes in anticipation of Blink-182's first show in Brisbane (19 February) on their 'One More Time' world tour. There was no denying that Blink-182 with their original line-up was a must-see show that no one wanted to miss.

Starting the evening were Chicago punk-rock icons, Rise Against. Their last performance in Brisbane dated back to 2018, prompting fans to gather early ensuring they didn't miss a single moment.

Addressing the zealous crowd, they took a break in their set to say: "It's early, and we're loud, right? I feel the same way. You've been waiting for this show for a long time, am I right? Yeah? We've been waiting for this show for a long time too. It's been way, way, way too long since we were last in Brisbane."

Despite the absence of their regular bass player, Joe Principe due to family reasons, Rise Against didn't let that dampen the spirits of the show. Instead, they welcomed their good friend Neil to step in and fill his shoes.

From crowd favourites like 'Satellite' and 'Nowhere Generation' to concluding their set with the explosive 'Savior', Rise Against delivered an exhilarating performance that had fans on their feet from start to finish.

It then hit that time of the night; with fans stocked up on merch and refreshed their drinks, Blink-182 stormed the stage with their trademark energy, excitement, and plenty of banter to keep the crowd entertained.

Fans were treated to a selection of their all-time favourite hits, with bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus bringing his signature antics back to Brisbane. Throughout the night, he kept the energy soaring whether through playful banter with the crowd and bandmates or solidifying his position as an essential figure in punk-rock bass history.

Mark engaged with the crowd, eliciting echoing cheers that seemed to resonate deep within one's soul. With a playful grin, he quipped: "I'm going to do what professional rock musicians have done for decades. Is everyone having a good time tonight? I can't hear you! Here's a song." With that, they launched into 'Dance With Me', igniting the audience into a frenzy of movement and excitement.

Tom DeLonge reminded adoring fans exactly why they were so eager to be in his presence as he dominated the stage with his trademark punk-rock groove, killer vocals, and guitar prowess. From shredding on his knees to his unmissable dance moves, it was evident fans had missed every second of his absence from the band.

Time and time again, Travis Barker reaffirmed his status as one of the most beloved figures in music history. Whether delivering jaw-dropping drum solos or showcasing his unparalleled skill by playing blindfolded with a towel wrapped around his head, he left fans in awe of his talent and dedication.

Delivering a dynamic blend of tracks spanning their discography, Blink-182 treated the crowd to a show filled with beloved hits like 'I Miss You', 'First Date', and 'All The Small Things', interspersed with timeless classics including 'Stay Together For The Kids' and 'The Rock Show'.

Fans of all ages enthusiastically sang along to every word, creating an atmosphere charged with nostalgia and excitement.
