During her set, Sunny lightened the mood with a playful joke about her husband, guitarist and co-writer Matt Collins (okmattcollins), quipping "he finally put a ring on it".

At Soapbox, New Zealand band Park RD commanded the stage with an electrifying performance that had fans on their feet. The energy was palpable, and their rock & roll vibe was undeniable, captivating everyone in the audience.

Dropping by Blute's, we caught LOVELOVELOVE drawing a crowd of adoring fans. The indie pop artist, known for their feel-good vibes and high energy, had everyone's attention.
They later shared their fans had brought a cake to celebrate a band member's birthday, adding a personal touch to the lively performance. The atmosphere was electric, with the band's infectious enthusiasm leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.

Down at Ric's Backyard was Vinnie Brigante, whose rapid rise in the folk music scene has been impressive. Just eight months ago, he performed his first show and now he's already a prominent figure in the genre.
For the second night at BIGSOUND and his third set, he was met with endless enthusiasm, drawing an interactive crowd that connects deeply with his heartfelt lyrics and melodies. Vinnie's swift transition from a newcomer to a emerging member of the folk scene highlights his talent and the genuine connection he's established with his audience.
At Blackbear, Alex the Astronaut packed the venue and drew a long queue to get in. Five years after their last Blackbear performance, they returned with fresh energy.
Their new untitled song, which featured on a recent 'Home & Away' trailer, was crafted during a writing camp with Troye Sivan. Fans are eagerly anticipating their upcoming EP, 'Rage And All Its Friends' that's set for a November release.

Mulga Bore Hard Rock was back, commanding the stage at Sound Garden for another standout show. The impressive teens drew a large crowd, with their fans chanting resonating outside the venue.
From outside, you could glimpse the sea of hands in the air, reflecting the high energy and enthusiasm within. Their performance once again proved their talent and ability to captivate an audience, making them a highlight of the event and solidifying their place as a must-see act.
For his final set of the week at Blute's, country artist Will Hearn stripped things back showcasing his impressive skills. Beyond singing and guitar playing, he demonstrated his talent by playing the guitar and harmonica simultaneously, adding a unique and captivating element to his performance.

Ducking down to The Brightside, Stand Atlantic packed the outdoor stage to capacity with their heavy music. The energy was intense, and the crowd's enthusiasm matched the band's powerful performance.
Dear Sunday took to the indoor stage with an energy suited for a large-scale venue. Their vibrant atmosphere and humorous touch attracted fans from all corners, with a sign encouraging both cheers and boos adding to the fun. They paused to express their gratitude to BIGSOUND, calling it "the coolest thing ever".
Fresh from their latest tour, the band flew to Brisbane and made a memorable impact, taking over every room they performed in during the festival. Their dynamic presence and heartfelt appreciation made their BIGSOUND appearance one of the standout moments of the event.

Without a doubt, the special mention of the week goes to the Auslan interpreters. Year after year, they standout with their remarkable presence. They nail every lyric and beat, all while visibly enjoying the performance.
Their flawless translation of both the lyrics and the emotions conveyed by the artists is truly commendable. They even get their hips moving, adding an extra layer of energy to their interpretation.
Covering both the JBL Stage and The Outpost, their exceptional talent and skill deserve to be recognised and celebrated. Their contribution is an integral part of the experience, enhancing the show for everyone.
