The 2024 edition of Spin Off music festival took over Adelaide Showgrounds last Friday (19 July), and it did not disappoint.
The event brought together an eclectic mix of artists and genres across three vibrant stages, providing festival goers with an unforgettable experience. Each stage offered something unique, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.The Liquid I.V. mainstage was the heartbeat of the festival, featuring a line-up that catered to both indie and pop enthusiasts. Kicking off with the energetic performance from Puree, the stage set the tone for an exhilarating day.
Miss Kaninna kept the momentum going with her dynamic set, followed by the soulful tunes of Rum Jungle, whose groove-infused performance was a perfect midday party.
Old Mervs then took over, bringing their unique sound to the crowd and showcasing impressive musical chemistry. Michael Marcagi's performance was a standout, captivating the audience with his powerful vocals and engaging stage presence.

The Last Dinner Party graced the stage next, delivering a set that was both theatrical and musically rich. Baby Gravy (BBNO$ & Yung Gravy) followed with a playful and infectious set, and without a doubt, always including their distinct chemistry and crowd interactions that leave fans excited for more.
Peach PRC's emotional and powerful performance was a highlight, resonating deeply with fans. Conan Gray then charmed fans with his hit tracks, including 'Memories', 'Fainted Love', and wrapping it up with 'Alley Rose', his emotive delivery and charm captivating the audience.
G Flip brought high energy, making the crowd dance by starting off with a drum solo intro, and building on that hype with hit songs 'Get Me Outta Here', 'Be Your Man', and 'The Worst Person Alive', but did not forget to add in some more impressive drumming skills throughout the set.
The night culminated with girl in red's electrifying performance, leaving fans in awe with hits like 'Girls', 'I'm Back', and 'Serotonin', which all built upon the authentic connection with the audience.

Over at the Sound Archive stage, the vibe was equally electric with a line-up tailored for electronic music lovers. Laver opened the stage, setting a smooth, bright tone that eased the crowd into a day of incredible music.
Kam and Delaney's back-to-back sets were a seamless blend of styles, creating an immersive listening experience. Wilso kept the crowd moving with a lively and engaging set, while the Jaeger/Fielke/Tram trio brought an innovative mix of beats that was a crowd favourite.
Waxx Off's set featured infectious rhythms, leading into Willo, who captivated with his eclectic mix and smooth transitions. Fukhead's performance was a gritty, high-energy experience, followed by RONA., who provided a smooth transition into the evening with her deep, resonant beats.

Club Angel's set was mesmerising, with a captivating performance that was a highlight of the stage. Sam Alfred brought the crowd to a peak with his dynamic set, paving the way for DJ Seinfeld, who delivered an unforgettable performance that kept everyone dancing.
JamesJamesJames closed the stage with a set that left everyone wanting more, his intricate mixes and high-energy performance the perfect ending to a fantastic day of electronic music.

The Cherry House Party stage provided a more intimate setting, perfect for those seeking a close-up experience with talented DJs. Brayden kicked things off with a high-energy set that got the crowd moving early.
Mon and Guns Down's back-to-back set was a seamless mix of tracks that kept the energy high, and the crowd engaged. NineOneOne brought a unique sound that was both innovative and captivating, followed by Some Brown, who kept the party going with an infectious set.

Jonny K delivered a performance that was both engaging and entertaining, his interaction with the crowd creating a lively atmosphere. Geezer took the stage with an energetic set that had everyone dancing, leading into Krystal, whose performance was a highlight with her distinctive style and powerful presence.
Manov brought the crowd to a peak with an eclectic mix that showcased impressive DJ skills, and Tommy G closed out the night with a set that had everyone dancing till the end, his infectious energy and superb track selection making for a memorable finale.
Despite the terrible cold, windy, and extremely wet weather, the show went on and did not disappoint. The atmosphere was electric, with a crowd that was positive and high-energy throughout the day.
Plenty of food vans and heaps of bars ensured everyone was well-fed and hydrated, adding to the overall enjoyment of the festival. The harsh weather conditions did little to dampen the spirits of the festival goers, who danced and sang along with unwavering enthusiasm.

Spin Off Adelaide was a great showcase of talent, diversity, and love for live music. Each stage offered a unique experience, ensuring every festival goer left with unforgettable memories.
From the vibrant performances on the Liquid I.V. mainstage to the electronic beats at the Sound Archive stage and the intimate vibes of the Cherry House Party stage, the festival truly had something for everyone.
The meticulous planning by Five Four Entertainment and Secret Sounds paid off, delivering an event that will be memorable and builds anticipation to see what is to come next year.
