Little BIGSOUND returns in 2017 with a totally revamped programme and showcase event (29 July) in Brisbane, offering a hands-on, one-day experience for 15 to 25 year olds looking to gain real life skills, meet industry experts and discover their local music scene.
In a programme to be revealed in the coming weeks, Little BIGSOUND will bring together local booking agents, record labels, artists, venue owners, producers and digital marketing experts to help participants get their first gigs, publicise their music, improve their songwriting/ music production and build relationships needed to work in the music industry.

As the sun goes down, Little BIGSOUND will culminate with a free, all-ages gig with headliners to be revealed soon. Organisers are reserving a few slots on the line-up for emerging artists to showcase in front of industry in attendance. Applications are now open via the Little BIGSOUND website and artists under 25 are encouraged to apply.

Facilitated by State Library of Queensland (SLQ) at The Edge located within Brisbane’s Cultural Precinct, South Bank, Little BIGSOUND is a specially curated platform for young people to connect. Little BIGSOUND is produced by QMusic, the team behind BIGSOUND, the southern hemisphere’s biggest music industry gathering and festival of new music.
In a coup for creative participants, music software company Ableton has partnered with Little BIGSOUND to provide access to a suite of the latest technology to experiment with on the day, along with tuition to test drive the tools, which will play a big part in the future of live music.
