There’s a deep rumble of excitement in the metal world right now.
While Australia’s biggest metal festival, Soundwave, spits out regular additions to the 2016 line-up, thrash metal fans cross their tattoos in prayer that their favourite bands come to Australia as part of the festival.
To tease restless souls even more, Slayer have what's undisputedly 2015’s most anticipated metal album of the year, lingering in the shadows until it will be released upon the world on Friday — 9/11.
Recently Slayer teamed up with actor Danny Trejo and director BJ McDonnell to film a violent outbreak in an L.A. Prison for their upcoming album and single 'Repentless'. Although the prison is no longer in use, and all the people in the film are actors, the scenes look pretty darn real, and you get the intensity along with the trashing music.
Who said metal’s dead? It’s bigger than ever! These day’s even pop celebrities like Katey Perry, Hailey Baldwin, Lady Gaga and Kendall Jenner parade Slayer shirts for the cameras. It definitely has not laid down; the best is alive!
If you like Slayer you probably dig Megadeth too. They are in the studio right now and have an upcoming Australian tour next month Supported by Children Of Bodom.
'Repentless' is available now.
