Renowned Recording Studio Damien Gerard Studios Host Free Open Day At Its New Central Coast Location

Damien Gerard Sound Studios is located at 19 Grieve Close West Gosford (Central Coast).
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

With a solid reputation as a state of the art facility after 35 years in Sydney, Damien Gerard Studios has relocated to the NSW's Central Coast.

Just an hour's drive up the freeway from its old home at Balmain, DGs is favoured by the cream of Australian musicians, engineers and producers who appreciate the new location not far from the scenic Gosford waterfront and still close enough to Sydney.

Artists such as The Church, Steve Kilbey, Hoodoo Gurus, Winterbourne, Little Quirks, Spy Vs Spy and Ben Gillies (Silverchair) are just some of the musicians that return time and again to record.

When it came time to relocate, new owner Jason Stenning of Industree Group chose Marshall Cullen as the current Studio Manager – who better to continue the legacy than the industry professional that used to own the studio when it was in Sydney.

Now it's time to show off the world-class facility to a much wider audience, so DGs is opening its doors this Saturday 2 September (11am to 4pm) for its inaugural Open Day, featuring prominent industry professionals as guest speakers.

Mark Gable of Choirboys, award-winning film and tv composer Roger Mason (Models, Icehouse, Divinyls), Neav Watson (triple j Unearthed winner), Colin Wright (music and production educator at Newcastle TAFE), Murray Dilger (studio engineer at DGs), Marshall Cullen (Studio Manager/ producer/ Foghorn Records), Andrew Beck (chief engineer/ guitar technician/ producer), and Kayne Butler (session drummer) plus an international touring artist will all feature on the day.

Such a brilliant opportunity to experience the DGs difference including checking out a handpicked selection of some of the most rare and special vintage microphones, guitars, drums, amps and keyboards that DGs have meticulously added to their collection over the years including the legendary MCI JH24 reel to reel tape machine. These will all be demonstrated on the day.
