As 2020 drags on and the end of COVID restrictions seems like it will continue into 2021, it's time to start adapting to our 'new normal'.
Which is what Remix Hotel is offering music fans in Brisbane. A new COVID-safe festival taking place from the Ovolo Hotel in Fortitude Valley, the event (9-11 October) will let people book hotel rooms (instead of tickets) and then have artists like Groove Armada, Marshall Jefferson, Groove Terminator, Jason Bye etc. stream exclusive DJ sets into their rooms.It's essentially a chance for friends to book a hotel room, check out some exclusive performances and party together given you can't dance at nightclubs right now.
"Remix Hotel has been a vision ever since our first lockdown back in March," XR Events Michael Watt says.
"We're so proud to be able to have some of the biggest names in clubland contributing to our event.
"Remix Hotel is a new concept that works within COVID-19 guidelines," Watt adds. "It's an entire weekend lifestyle experience like nothing that's ever been done before."
