Liam Gallagher

(Don’t) Look Back In Anger. It hasn’t take long for Liam Gallagher to reach for his favourite lexicon on his current Australia tour.

Following two flares being set off during the closing song of last night's opening Melbourne leg, the younger Gallagher told reporters this morning, “to the massive c**t who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne you are 1 seriously f**ked up individual and you will get yours trust me.”

Although today's torrent was not without merit, the expletive-followed-with-threat was straight out of the frontman’s playbook which Australia experienced first-hand in 1998 when the Gallaghers disgraced themselves on an Australia-bound Cathay Pacific flight.

Rather than contrition, when asked by reporters about his alleged behaviour on board, Liam said, “I don’t give a flying f**k about Cathay Pacific because I’ll tell you kids, I’d rather walk.”

He continued the tirade referring to the captain as “some panhead who wants stabbing” before a minder stepped in front of the camera and shut down the unscripted floorshow. All captured for posterity, courtesy Channel 7.

Oasis are due back on stage tonight having sold out all five of their Australia dates.

@7newsaustralia In 1998, Oasis was accused of abusing passengers and the captain of a Cathay Pacific plane flying from Hong Kong to Perth. The band had arrived in Perth to start their Australian tour but made headlines when passengers aboard the flight said the duo were "abusive" and "disgusting towards air crew". #Oasis #archive #1998 #CathayPacific #Perth ♬ original sound - 7NEWS Australia
