To mark the 25th anniversary (last November) of their 'UNIT' album, ('Polyester Girl' is 25!), Regurgitator will tour nationally performing the record in all its pixelated density, along with an extended set of their hits across time, this May.
Already planning their '25 Years Of UNIT' mini festival in Brisbane later this month, the 'UNIT' national tour will land in Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth.Returning for the national tour will be 'UNIT'-era Regurgitator keytarist Shane Rudken, along with the Ken Weston turning up the multi-dimensional in an ocular sense on full-pixel visuals.
Regurgitator will be joined together in plasma by a plethora of dynamic musical cohorts they've curated: DZ Deathrays, Custard (except Hobart), Butterfingers and Glitoris.
As the presser says: 'Code for rhymes. Products of time.'
The second record released by Regurgitator, 'UNIT' dropped in 1997 (the follow-up to their debut LP 'Tu-Plang'), spawning the mega hit 'Polyester Girl' alongside other radio favourites '! (The Song Formerly Known As)' and 'Black Bugs'.
It also features the less savvy titles: 'The World Of Sleaze', 'I Piss Alone' and 'I Will Lick Your Arsehole' (the latter remains a fan favourite).
'In a world stood prone before portals comes a veritable electric stream of bits - 25 years of 'UNIT' in one moment of sound and colour. Music is waves.'
Regurgitator's '25 Years Of UNIT' mini festival takes place at Eatons Hill Outdoors & Ballroom (Brisbane) 25 March.
Tickets to the national tour on sale from 9am (local time) on 6 March.
