2020 is a milestone year for Red Hot Summer Tour, celebrating their 10th anniversary with a run of concerts headlined by Hunters & Collectors – until COVID-19 struck.
After originally pushing back the remainder of their tour schedule to later in 2020, event organisers have now been forced to postpone the planned October dates to 2022 (2021 was not an option due to artist availability).Alongside Hunters & Collectors, the 2020 tour also featured James Reyne, The Living End, The Angels, Baby Animals, Killing Heidi and Boom Crash Opera.
"Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions surrounding mass gatherings, we have made the heartbreaking decision not to proceed with the upcoming October dates," promoter Duane McDonald says.
"The health and welfare of our patrons, artists, staff, and residents of the local areas are our number one priority.
"All artists have agreed to play the three shows in the summer of 2022, which we are very thankful for. Unfortunately, 2021 was not an option due to artist availabilities. All of these events are sold-out, and we hope that you choose to keep your ticket and join us on the new rescheduled dates.”
The October dates were scheduled for Seppelsfield (Barossa, South Australia on 10 Oct); Kiama Showgrounds (New South Wales on 17 Oct); North Gardens (Ballarat, Victoria on 24 Oct).
All Ticketmaster customers will be contacted in coming days with an option to keep their ticket or receive a full refund. For tickets purchased from other outlets, ticket holders are asked to please contact their point of purchase.
