One of Brisbane's most popular grassroots events, the fourth Red Deer Music Arts & Festival, officially launched ticket sales today together with the release of its 2013 line-up.
The bill raises the bar for the festival, headlined as it is by acclaimed indie rock trio The Grates, armed with the sort of tunes that have seen them claim two ARIA Top Ten Album chart spots, the J Award and The Amp.
With numerous global festivals under their belt, enigmatic frontwoman Patience Hodgson and her partner in crime, John Patterson, said they were looking forward to leading the stampede at "Brisbane's ultimate grassroots music event".
The festival at the base of the D'Aguilar Range will also welcome the likes of ex-Beautiful Girls frontman Mat. McHugh & The Seperatista Soundsystem, Melbourne four-piece rock gods Kingswood, and Sydney MC Chance Waters.
Bobby Alu, Pigeon DJs, DJ Sarah Howells, The Kite String Tangle, Dave Di Marco, Bec Laughton, Nova & The Experience, Sneeky Picnic, MKO, Elliot The Bull, Jean Jameson, Capital Control, TrashQueen, The Lou Dogs and Red Deer residents The Lyrical, DJ Blake Thomson and The Dashounds round out the stacked bill.
Boasting BYO booze & couches, free camping, two stages, art workshops, quality food and shuttle bus transfers to and from Ferny Grove Train Station, it all goes down on Saturday September 7.
