Singer, songwriter and pop polymath Rebecca Black will hit stages outside of her Spilt Milk appearances, when she visits Australian shores later this year.
Rebecca blazes her own path – with contributions to underground music, fashion, and queer arts scenes, she’s an unstoppable force with collaborations and solo projects aplenty. She skyrocketed from theatre kid to viral sensation with ‘Friday’, which amassed more than 150 million views, becoming 2011’s fastest growing video.
Ten years after ‘Friday’, Rebecca Black marked the occasion with a remix featuring Dorian Electra, Big Freedia and 3OH!3.
In 2021, Rebecca released her first project, ‘Rebecca Black Was Here’. . . And in 2022-23, she marked the release of her debut album ‘Let Her Burn’ by embarking on a sold-out, debut headline tour in North America and Europe. . . Following it up with a DJ set at Coachella and appearances at Pride festivals in LA, Chicago, and more.
She’s launching head-first into this year with the new project, ‘SALVATION’, proceeding hedonistic, confident bangers cascading through electronic sounds, drifting from synth-driven confessionals and pulling back into four-on-the-floor techno mayhem.
Rebecca will visit Australian shores as part of Spilt Milk in December, but she’s hitting up Metro Theatre (Sydney) and 170 Russell (Melbourne) for two special solo gigs.
Tickets on sale 27 May.
