Classical violinist and online personality, Taiwanese-Australian artist Ray Chen returns to Australia for an east-coast tour this spring.
A virtuosic violinist who has performed on some of the world's biggest stages, including France’s Bastille Day (live to 800,000 people), the Nobel Prize Concert in Stockholm (telecast across Europe), and the BBC Proms, Chen will headline concerts in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this September."The joy that's inherent in music is meant to be shared," shares Ray, who will be joined by the gifted Julio Elizalde on piano, the pair presenting a repertoire of pieces by Ludwig van Beethoven, Camille Saint-Saëns, Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Bazzini, Antonín Dvořák and Chick Corea.
Ray is also part of the new breed of classical musicians embracing social media posting regular comedic content with educational themes. He is an ambassador for SONY Electronics as well as a music consultant for Riot Games – the leading esports company best known for League of Legends.
Chen also co-founded Tonic, an independent startup that aims to motivate musicians and learners around the world to practice their craft together.
With his ethos that music should 'inspire joy, connection and healing in humans', these Australian concerts will sell out.
Tickets are on sale: Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
