2017 will see Rainbow Serpent celebrate their 20th anniversary and judging by the first line-up announcement, event organisers will make sure it's an epic gathering of music, art, culture and lifestyle activities.
Slated to take place the Australia Day weekend next January, Twisted Records founder Simon Posford (who is expecting to release a new Shpongle album later this year) will headline the event with a special DJ set as well as a Hallucinogen performance.

German group Extrawelt will make their Rainbow debut while Ott and band The All-Seeing I, D-Nox and Beckers, Perfect Stranger and Avalon return to follow up on previous mind-blowing performances.
Twenty years after announcing DJ Mark Allen and Tim Healy from the UK as their first headliners, the festival now features over 40 international musicians and visual artists alongside an impressive list of homegrown talent. “We’ve certainly grown a lot in twenty years,” says Festival Director Tim Harvey.
“From one music stage to six as well as international speakers, workshop spaces, art galleries, kid’s area and one of the biggest outdoor markets in Australia.”
Tim says the Rainbow team is also excited about 20 consecutive years in the Pyrenees Shire and are looking forward to celebrating the milestone with patrons and the local community. “We couldn’t have achieved a successful 20 years without the overwhelming support of our patrons and the local community who consider Rainbow to be an annual ritual. We want to thank them with our best line-up and festival yet,” he says.
