Two of the most iconic names in hip hop, Raekwon and Slick Rick, join forces for a co-headlining Australian tour in June.
Raekwon has been one of the most sought after voices in hip hop for the past 25 years since breaking through with Wu-Tang Clan.
He made his debut on Wu-Tang's classic 1993 album 'Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)', dropping verses on tracks like 'C.R.E.A.M.', 'Protect Ya Neck' and 'Can It All Be So Simple'.
His critically-acclaimed and platinum certified debut solo release 'Only Built For Cuban Linx' remains one of the cornerstones of '90s hip hop; now, in 2018 his tools are only getting sharper.
His recently released seventh solo album 'The Wild' sees Raekwon expand his legacy, with features from the likes of CeeLo Green, Lil Wayne and G-Eazy drawing even more success for the musical veteran.
Often called 'hip hop's greatest storyteller', the eye-patch wearing Slick Rick has built a career on combining narratives with adventurous production. The performer adds vocal drama to his lyrics through the use of different characters in his songs, delivered in his unique British-American accent.
Also known as 'The Ruler', Rick debuted a two-sided single 'La-Di-Da-Di'/'The Show' with Doug E Fresh in 1985 before going on to release his debut album 'The Adventures Of Slick Rick' in 1988.
This album featured the song 'Children's Story' which served as inspiration for Montell Jordan's 'This Is How We Do It'. Rick has since released another three studio albums: 'The Ruler's Back' in 1991, 'Behind Bars' in 1994 and 'The Art Of Storytelling' in 1999.
So influential is Rick's music that it has been sampled and interpolated over 650 times in tracks by artists such as Eminem, Beyonce, The Beastie Boys, TLC, The Notorious B.I.G., Snoop Dogg and more.
This is a rare chance to see two of hip hop's biggest names together on a single bill.
