The star-studded year will see 49 concert events cover the Maestro Series, Morning Masterworks, Music on Sundays, QSO Chamber Players and dynamic new programs QSOCurrent, WorldBeat and QSO Family. Sci-fi fans will also be entertainment with a live blockbuster concert event — 'Star Trek'.

QSO's Chief Executive Officer, Sophie Galaise, says that they're excited for audiences to welcome such famous soloists and conductors, and they feel they've selected some extraordinary works to support a year of joy and adventure. “Never before has Queensland seen such a line-up of international stars on our Concert Hall stage in one subscription season. The world’s very best are coming to Brisbane; it’s the beginning of a new era for the QSO, one where the whole world is listening.
“To host the likes of one of the world’s greatest violinists in Maxim Vengerov, the revered cellist Mischa Maisky, Sarah Chang the child prodigy who debuted on violin with the New York Philharmonic at age eight and is now among the world’s best, conductor extraordinaire Australia’s Simone Young, and Pinchas Zukerman the violin phenomenon who has held title for over four decades, together in a year where we welcome Shlomo Mintz as our Soloist-in-Residence is extraordinary.”
Queensland Symphony Orchestra's 2015 season kicks-off with 'Star Trek' on February 7.
