Forget the neon of the Strip — Queensland Cabaret Festival 2025 has got the river lights, the rooftop bars, and a creative scene bursting with local legends.

Get Your Groove On with a Double Dose of Sixties Cool brought to by The View from Madeleine’s Couch & Bacharacharama – Live at the Old Museum!

Around the turn of the millennium, these two bands formed in Bris Vegas to service a burst of nostalgia for all things groovy sixties vibes rebadged as “lounge music”. Pack your bags and meet in the hotel foyer, but don't intend to make it past the cocktail lounge as Brisbane’s finest purveyors of bossa nova, The View from Madeleine’s Couch, are topping up the martini supplies and inviting you over for a soirée of tunes to complement their classic 1960s Brazilian vibes.

Then get your kitsch on with classic ‘60s cocktail party with Bacharacharama. Bringing you the lush, smooth and oh-so-catchy songs of the great Burt Bacharach - the man behind timeless hits that blended pop, jazz, and orchestral sophistication. From movie soundtracks and number one hits to a few lesser-known gems, Bacharacharama promises a set that’s as classy as it is groovy.

Springtime in Bris Vegas never sounded so good!
