Public Voting Opens For Queensland Music Awards' People's Choice Award

Keith Urban, Bernard Fanning, Sheppard, Violent Soho, The Veronicas, Amy Shark and Kate Miller-Heidke are among the artists Queenslanders can vote for as part of the 2017 Queensland Music Awards' People’s Choice Award.


The QMAs have also revealed that local performer, promoter, comedian and radio personality, Ruth Gardner will host this year's event.

Another addition to the night's entertainment will be bass-heavy, roof-raisers Kingfisha performing alongside fellow nominees and already announced: Cub Sport, Good Boy, ROMY and Tia Gostelow.



The finalists for the 2017 QMA Album Of The Year have also been announced. They are: Cub Sport - 'This Is Our Vice';
 Halfway - 'The Golden Halfway Record'; Sahara Beck - 'Panacea';
 The Goon Sax - 'Up To Anything'; 
Violent Soho – 'WACO'.



The BOQ People’s Choice Award celebrates the achievements of Queensland artists who began their careers in the Sunshine State and are now taking on the world.

The publicly voted categories include: Most Popular Male, Most Popular Female and Most Popular Group. The poll will remain open until midnight, 13 March.
