Iconic, influential and unpredictable rockers Public Image Ltd (PiL) will head around Australia in a special series of live shows in early 2027.
The shows are part of PiL’s global ‘This Is Not… The Final PiL Tour’.
Following sold-out European and North American legs this year already, the band will bring their uncompromising sound, raw energy and genre-defying performance to Australian audiences for the first time since 2013. At these shows, audiences can expect a vast setlist made up of hits from PiL’s formidable catalogue, including early works like ‘Public Image’ and ‘Metal Box’.
PiL was formed by John Lydon after the Sex Pistols. The current line-up features John on vocals alongside long-standing members Bruce Smith (drums), Lu Edmonds (guitar) and Scott Firth (bass). The band redefined post-punk with their fusion of dub, rock, electronics and avant-garde experimentation.
With a career spanning across four decades and a string of influential albums, PiL remain true to their ethos: ‘This is not a rehearsal’.
The group continue to push boundaries as one of the most influential, unpredictable forces in modern music. Never content to repeat themselves, the band soldiers on as a vital, living entity: angry, experimental, unique.
